First Encounter: "War Zone" David Nabbit contacts Angel Investigations for help. Cordelia sets up a meeting between Cordelia, Angel, Wesley, and David at one of David Nabbit's swank soirees.

Relationship Map: David Nabbit meets Cordelia at his party in "War Zone." He clearly notices her beauty but feels awkward around women. Cordelia, for her part, enjoys the chance to be around the lifestyle she once had and craves. David Nabbit occasionally drops in on the Angel Investigations crew and offers his financial acumen. Although Cordelia does not think David is attractive or personable, she does admire his intelligence and skill with money.

Character Reflection: One of the most revealing conversations that Cordelia has ever had was at the end of "War Zone." She was talking with Wesley and casually mentioned that she may be willing to prostitute herself to billionaire David Nabbit. Although she concluded that she would not do it (and never seriously pursued the idea), it was a startling illustration of how much of a sacrifice/loss Cordelia's sacrifices were for her. She truly enjoyed the glittering world of cash, caviar, and champagne that she once tasted, but nevertheless set aside pursuit of a return to that world in favor of helping the helpless with Angel Investigations.
