| La FOX l'a confirmé, une série dérivée de Bones devrait être lancée: - Citation :
- Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that BONES is about to be spun off into a new potential series.
BONES will apparently introduce a new character, named Walter Sherman — aka “the Locator” — in an upcoming episode with the intention of having him headline a brand-spankin’ new show. Word is, BONES mastermind Hart Hanson will be responsible for creating the spin-off.
The actor — who has yet to be cast — playing the character of Walter is scheduled to begin shooting on December 6th and first appear on the series sometime in 2011.
Deadline TV describes Walter as “an eccentric, obstreperous and amusing reclusive man in his late 20s-30s with highly sought after abilities to find anything. He is skeptical of every statement and often asks offensive, seemingly irrelevant questions which oddly enough turn out to be extremely relevant. A former military policeman, Walter knows Agent Booth (David Boreanaz) from their time serving in Iraq together, and the two dislike each other very much. Meanwhile, Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) finds him very intriguing. Walter was injured overseas and suffered brain damage which lead to his honorable discharge, as well as his ever present state of paranoia.”
From that description, Walter sounds like a mash-up of FRINGE’s Walter Bishop and BONES’ Brennan, no?
Also interesting that Booth hates him and Brennan finds him intriguing, right? I wonder — and this is just me speculating, so don’t start freaking out — if that conflicting dynamic will lead to romance for Brennan with a guy Booth can’t stand. After all, he is with Hannah for the time being…
Oh, and I wonder if he will be someone connected to Cam’s study on brain damage in vets?
Another tidbit of note: The character of Walter Sherman originated in the book series “The Location” by Richard Greener. BONES is inspired by the life and novels of Kathy Reichs. I’m not familiar with “The Location” book series, but it’ll be interesting to see how those genres mesh together.
At least Hanson has experience with adapting books to television shows — in addition to BONES, he worked on a pilot based on Scott Turow’s book PLEADING GUILTY last season. Source

- Fox Picked up The Finder
Fox has decided to pick up Bones Spinoff 'The Finder' for fall.
Fox also picked up the Bones spin-off Finder, starring Geoff Stults as a military-trained man who locates people no one else can in the Florida Keys. The backdoor pilot, from 20th Century Fox, earned a 3.2 rating when it aired April 21. Source: slayerverse

| Quelques explications sur la série: - Citation :
- If you’re anything like us (which we like to believe you are), you’re kinda itching to know more about The Finder, the show that will be taking Bones’ time slot when Emily Deschanel (Brennan) goes on maternity leave next season. Including deets about Not to mention its hot male lead, Geoff Stults (Walter Sherman) — but more on that later.
For now, we turn to Bones creator Hart Hanson for info about his new show — which is based on the “Locator” books by author Richard Greener.
During a chat with Fox All Access, Hart explained what drew him to the concept of someone who could find anything and everything: “Someone comes in and says I want to find something, but you can also think of all the things that people want to find that are more thematic or abstract. They want to find love, they want to find meaning, they’ve lost their mind, they’ve lost their faith.”
Though the only one who appears to have lost his mind — if you caught the Bones/Finder crossover episode this season — is Stults’ paranoid character, Walter. In the same “backdoor” pilot episode we find out that Booth’s equally handsome rival is a former military policeman who suffered some sort of brain damage during his duty in Iraq. But when it comes to his unique talent of finding things, Hart explains that Walter will find his hands full — despite a self-assured attitude that sometimes comes off rude (remind you of anyone? *cough*Brennan*cough*).
“There’s any number of things that people can find, and the story should be very fulfilling that way. We think we’re looking for one thing and very often we’re looking for something else.”
Hmm, kind of like us looking for information on Hart’s new show, but really what we’re looking for is confirmation on Geoff’s single status? Hypothetically speaking...
Video: The Finder's Geoff Stults says he loves his "fun, kind of weird, paranoid goofball" character Walter Sherman from the new Bones spin-off series. After watching this interview, we may fall in love with him too. Answering this question has become just that much harder. | Meet Walter this week on a new Bones Source: Slayerverse
