Charisma Carpenter has hinted that she may appear on Supernatural.

The Buffy star implied on her Twitter account that she could play a role in the CW drama's seventh season.

Carpenter wrote: "I may be doing an ep of a show that involves special talents... Guess which."

Responding to fan comments, she added: "Not Alphas. Good Guess. Not Mentalist. Yes [it's in the] sci-fi genre."

The actress later confirmed that she was referring to Supernatural when two of her followers guessed correctly.

Carpenter played Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 1996 to 1999 and later appeared in spinoff series Angel between 1999 and 2004.

She also played Kendall Casablancas on Veronica Mars and starred in 2010 film The Expendables.

Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles recently revealed that the show's new season will introduce a "new evil" that his character Dean and brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) must fight "by pooling their [meagre] resources".

The series returns to The CW on Friday, September 23 at 9/8c.

The CW’s Supernatural aims to slay you by reuniting Buffyverse alumni Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters — aka Cordelia and Spike — in one of its Season 7 episodes, TVLine has learned exclusively.

What’s more, the two actors, who previously worked together both on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its David Boreanaz-fronted spin-off Angel, will be playing husband and wife on the spooktacular drama, which launches its new cycle on Friday, Sept. 23, at 9/8c. Watch for this glorious genre-gasm to come in the new season’s fifth episode, titled “Shut Up, Dr. Phil.”

“This episode is ‘Bewitched gone wrong,’” reveals showrunner Sera Gamble. “[It was] all upside for this successful man (Marsters) while he was married to the witch (Carpenter), but now that he’s pissed her off, the whole town is paying the price.”

TVLine happened to be speaking with Carpenter on Wednesday morning (to talk up her Sept. 1 Burn Notice appearance), when she shared what little she could about her Supernatural outing. “My people called me yesterday to see if I wanted to do it and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to go to Vancouver in the summer!’” she said. “It’s probably one of my all-time favorite cities.”

At the time, little did Carpenter know that the Canadian seaport would be playing host to the biggest on-screen Buffy reunion to date, or at least since her and Nicholas Brendon’s 2006 ABC Family movie, Relative Chaos.

Carpenter and Marsters will film their Supernatural appearance the week of August 22 — after the former swings by New Orleans for a cameo in Haunted High, a just-announced Syfy original movie about teens trapped in a school by the ghost of a headmaster (played by Lost‘s M.C. Gainey). Pulp film icon Danny Trejo (Machete) costars as a possible hero, while Carpenter lords over the school’s library.

“I asked the director, ‘Can I be totally unrecognizable, using make-up effects, or do I have to be a ‘hot’ librarian?’ And he was like, ‘Hot. Librarian,’” she relates with a laugh. “For once, I want to be something different!”

Carpenter was just seen pulling “double” duty this past Monday on Lifetime’s Deadly Sibling Rivalry (encoring Saturday at 9/8c), while Marsters’ most recent TV credits include Hawaii Five-0, Smallville and Caprica.

"Supernatural" welcomes Joss Whedon alum Jewel Staite as a guest star in its third episode of Season 7, and E.P. Sera Gamble isn't stopping there. "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" star Charisma Carpenter revealed on her Twitter that she'd be guest starring in a "Supernatural" episode this season.

Now, TVLine confirms that it gets better. She'll reunite with her "Buffy" co-star James Marsters in an upcoming episode that films August 22.

The episode, entitled "Shut Up, Dr. Phil," features Carpenter and Marsters as a married couple on the outs. She's a witch, so when they were happily married, their life was terrific -- but when he falls out of favor with her, his luck changes, big time. Gamble describes the episode as "'Bewitched' gone wrong."

Executive producer Sera Gamble says the show "worked really hard" to land the genre faves, which "speaks really directly to our fan base. Our casting directors really understand the people who watch the show."

"Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) meet Maggie Stark (guest star Charisma Carpenter), a witch who has unleashed her wrath on a small town, resulting in numerous deaths. Sam and Dean track down her husband, Donald (guest star James Marsters), to see if he can help. Donald tells the brothers that Maggie is mad at him for having an affair and is taking it out on the townspeople."

ust like the last episode, "Defending Your Life," focused on a hunt (and a heartbreaking one at that with Jo's return), the next also is all about a case and not the Leviathans. However, this one does look like it will be more light-hearted than last week's, and it's hard not to be excited to see what happens with Carpenter and Marsters guest starring. That was some pretty good casting, and they seem to have taken these roles on perfectly from what's been seen in the promo. Though they didn't share too much screen time on Buffy and Angel, it's still nice to see a reunion, and it looks like this episode is going to continue the trend of season 7 having strong episodes and strong cases. In "Shut Up, Dr. Phil," it looks like Don's going to learn that crossing a witch is a terrible idea, especially when you're married to her. Just what's going on?

The Supernatural promo (below) begins with Sam and Dean performing some sort of spell. From there, it focuses on Maggie and Don Stark. Maggie's going after her victims, and as Dean puts it, "We got not just one witch, we got two. It's full-on War of the Roses." It's not a good idea to have an affair when your wife is a witch, and that's going to be Don's mistake. Sam suggests counseling them, not killing them; is it time for some witchy marriage counseling? Is that really going to end up being the solution? Well, in the meantime, Maggie's up to no good, including apparently replacing an olive with an eyeball (definitely not what you want to find in your drink). When Don tells Maggie, "Enough is enough," her only response is, "Boo-hoo." It looks like it's not going to be quite so easy to talk her down.

How will the Winchesters end up putting a stop to all of this? Will they be able to get Maggie and Don to stop and sit down and talk their problems out? Will Sam and Dean have to serve as marriage counselors and not hunters in this episode? Whatever happens, there are bound to be some good scenes with Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters, and those two with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
